The seafood on display in the refrigerator case looked very fresh. The view of the harbor can only be matched if you had a boat... tied up at the dock at Sag Harbor. The clam chowders were good with a slight nod going to the New England preparation. Thefried flounder was served on a bun. The portions are generous and the prices are not bad, considering this is the Hamptons. Ihave one suggestion: abandon the 3.5 per cent surcharge on credit cards and go over to a cash -only policy if the charges thatcredit -card companies impose are too onerous. One suspects that a seafood shack on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor does a prettygood business so the surcharge is an annoyance. At least the young man at the counter informed every customer of the surchargebeforehand, although that didn't help me because I wasn't carrying sufficient cash to cover my check. Really fresh fish platters and sandwiches. The baguette they use for the sandwiches is excellent. I usually get the fried... flounder and am never disappointed. Read more
Best fried clams I?ve ever had
Lobster was average in general but above average value in overpriced Hamptons. No liquor license and not allowed to BYOB. BYOB... would have earned them another star. Read more
