Came all the way from downtown because I grew up in VSL and wanted to go to Nickels. Used to go almost every weekend in my... childhood. Today November 5, 2022, arrived and requested a booth. There was two booths empty but not cleaned and the waitresstold me that she needed 5min to prepare the booth table for us. I told her no problem, I will wait. Then, 2 guys showed up andshe immediately cleaned one booth table for them and gave it to them. I found that disrespectful and we left. It’s a shamethat she did that but for whoever it happens to them luckily there’s a restaurant in the same strip called L’oeufrier.People are nice, respectful and the food is great. Read more
The worse service in an empty restaurant. The waitress was so busy socializing. She serves with her airpods and so she can't... hear you. You have to run after her. When asked for the missing condiments, you have them rolling their eyes. Read more
Tonight i went to eat at a childhood restaurant and the waiter we had was horrible and bad attitude. Took around an hour to get... our bills to pay. Not only that after I paid the waiter shoved the bill in my chest because I gave 3$ tip. And gave a badre-mark. Honestly today this restaurant doesn't hold the standard like it did back in the day. Nickels is a good deli, a little old school and probably outdated by newer restaurants. Still I like their smoked meat,... milkshakes and variety of food they offer. The price is fair and the quantity is good. Not worth a detour, but it's a place westop before doing groceries nearby Read more
