Had dinner here tonight (9/17/22). We were celebrating my son and my nieces birthdays. The food was great and our waitress was... amazing. Kalmes is one of my favorite restaurants, and we live about an hour away. We'll worth the hour drive. Prime rib wasexcellent tonight. Great salad bar. Really nice, simple atmosphere. We have had good food and good service every time we stopin. I believe our waitresses name was maybe Laura? I believe she was one of the owners? Sorry if I got that wrong.. We had Kalmes cater our 300 person wedding last weekend and I received raving reviews from all who attended. I originally booked... them about a year and a half ago and since then inflation has made food prices soar. Despite that, Kalmes never came back to tryand raise my rates or give me less than we agreed to. We left with tons of leftover food despite many of our guests makingmultiple trips to the buffet line, and the food was piping hot and delicious. They are so easy to work with and I will recommendthem to anyone and everyone! The ham and fried chicken are the way to go! Read more
Great small town service and food! The ambiance and history of the building only adds to the experience. The fried chicken was... some of the best I have ever had. The waitress was awesome! You could tell they were short staffed, as she was running aroundtaking care of everyone, but through it all she never once complained or got short. She was great!
