Great meal, every course. This was our final dinner in Calistoga and all 7 of us were very pleased. Good prices for such a... nice spot. I had corn chowder that was great, and the fish and chips, which doesn't sound like a fancy places meal, but it wasamazing. we stumbled upon this restaurant after a long day of flying from NJ and this restaurant was IT! Market had amazing food and even... better service. Alfie was our waiter and he was so knowledgeable and helpful, he walked us through the entire menu and was justthe kindest person, when he found out it was our first night on our honeymoon he stopped what he was doing to bring overchampagne to celebrate. Was recommended by two wineries we had visited. Small but very comfortable place. Our server Albie was awesome. Had been there... 15 years and had every detail of the menu down. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. I wish the breading was a tad bit crispier. The meat was not dry, but... could've used more seasoning. The potatoes were creamy, but the garlic was overpowering. The garlic didn't seem cooked andtasted like it was added into the potatoes raw. Our server was excellent and very pleasant. Read more
