I know everyone has their own preference with pizza. Here in the ?newer? NWI good pizza is few and far between. There?s hardly... if not any, real pizza places out here. Most of the people out here right now are people from the Chicagoland area who havemoved out here and this place is hands down the best Chicago south side type pizza place around. Highly recommended. We love the pizza. They were originally from Hegewisch and we have been eating their pizza for about 50 years.
Mama D's is a Friday night routine. I have a very sensitive stomach and their pizza doesn't upset it. It's never overly greasy... and always perfect. The only complaint I have is they sometimes go too heavy on the cornmeal. I would still highly recommendthem! They are quick and the pizza is always good. Read more
