What a cute bakery. Had a nice selection of sweets, they are known for their pies (they never disappoint), but this time I went... with an assortment their cupcakes. Each one was perfect. I had the Red Velvet and certainly will again. But the sweet ladythere could use some help, especially at lunchtime. While we didn't have lunch, the selection looked delicious. Read more
Went here over this past Saturday and noticed that they had a cherry crumble coffee cake. First time I've ever seen that here. ... It was the best coffee cake I've ever had!! Hope they keep making those!! Read more
A good friend of mine is a caregiver, first time she went the pie and service was great, next visit with her client not so much,... she goes in with her diabetic client, who needed to eat while there was no one there they place lunch order and wait meanwhile abigger group comes, places orders, they all get their food, my friend waits, after about 20 minutes she approached the counterand asks if the food was coming as the larger group was eating and she and client are still waiting. The man who neveridentified himself starts to yell at her and tells her to get out, or he?s calling the cops! Really, all that over where is myfood, this client needs to eat to take his meds, why are you making such a big deal, give the food that was order and paid forand let?s move on! This left such a bad taste in my mouth! I am all about helping small businesses but not when they treatpeople so badly! I?ll take my business to Butterfingers in Munster. My first time here and didn't think there was a large selection of baked goods. The girl behind the counter was very friendly... and offered a sample of brownies, which were good so I bought one and several flavors of kolaches. Bake goods are my downfalland I usually like to try many things, maybe it was an off day and there will be more to buy on my next visit. Read more
