This was on our list to try and since it was my wife’s birthday I thought we would try it. Fun decor, clean and great staff.... Dog friendly patio which works for the area. We started out with the buffalo onion rings. Large stack of onion rings withDarlings buffalo dry rub with a delicious buffalo sauce. Talk about a perfect cook and crunch. Ready to eat not to hot or tocold. Just needed a little more sauce! We got ranch and blue cheese. Definitely tasted homemade. We also got the sweet cornfritters. Again ready to eat! Good crunch, perfect sweetness just needed a little more sauce. We split the short ribs cheesesteak Chicago style. The meat needed salt and more giardiniera! That would have made it perfect! We also split the broastedchicken sandwich Hot chic style. Again good sandwich just needed more sauce! The slaw was delicious and it paired perfectly withthe house pickles. I ordered the kimchi chicken sandwich. Essentially had no kimchi more like coleslaw and some weakly flavored sauce was thrown on... it. I do not recommend that sandwich at all! The YumYum Bowl also lacked flavor and was very disappointing. There was 10 of usand we all had something different. I had a taste of everything the best thing was the steak. Wonderful restaurant to visit with your fur babies! They have an outdoor “pawtio” where your pet will get their own soft mat... to lay on, as well as a cold dish of water. They have a special menu just for dogs. Our boys have tried a few things on it andhave loved everything they tried. Their people food is amazing as well! We tried a few appetizers and dishes, and were veryimpressed by everything we had. My only criticism is that they are in a bit of an out of the way location with not much around.We were travelling from out of town, and there really isn’t anything to see walking around the area. I drive trucks all over the country. When I get a delivery that's has local food places, I will try them since I normally only... have the big, fast food choices. I made a delivery half a block away and decided to try The Block. I was well received, andquickly at that! They had just opened, so getting a seat was immediate. The waitstaff was friendly, knowledgeable, and verypolite. I decided to order the corned beef hash breakfast, with a side of bacon, and milk (and coffee). The order came within afew minutes, as would be expected with the place not being too busy yet. The food was excellent, and the salad was fresh withjust the right amount of Italian vinaigrette dressing. The cost was a bit high, but in my opinion, it's well worth it! Very dog-friendly place with a patio and dog menu! I want to bring my dog there, they provide mats for them to lay down on which... is so thoughtful. The Cow Duck Goat burger is excellent, as are the buffalo onion rings (we ordered extra buffalo sauce) andbuffalo cauliflower (with vegan ranch). Surprisingly large vegan selection, which is great for lactose intolerant folks. TheAlchemist is my favorite cocktail there, very refreshing. The servers are knowledgeable and give great recommendations based onyour taste, and I appreciate the time saved by having them run the payment at your table. Read more
