The good was really good! Despite bring very busy when we went, we were offered a seat at the bar to get seated immediately. O... was worried it would affect the experience, but it was actually still great. The poisons we're a little larger than I expected(which is nice since I was rather hungry) and the spicy chicken sandwich was really well prepared. I typically go for sauce onmy spicy chicken sandwiches (which this didn't have), but they made it work! The bartender was friendly and prepared me amudslide margarita. After being in a pinch and trying to find a last minute child-friendly restaurant on the way home we ended up stopping at this... 99 in Salem. Easy, quick, and convenient. Normally I would not go out of my way to write a review about a chain restaurant 5minutes after leaving but? we just experienced the best service I?ve ever had in my lifetime. Based on the customer serviceitself, just, wow. Every 9?s in New England needs to take a lesson from this particular location. Both our server Cheryl and themanager Howard were both so kind, caring, and attentive to us and our toddler. Seriously, they were so welcoming and friendlyand frequently paid visits to our table to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were satisfied! The service wasabove and beyond, we really felt at home. We will absolutely be paying this location another visit! We have had a few bad experiences picking up food from here. One time all our food was left in the entryway sort of area and... there was no indication the food was ready, so our food was bad that time. This time we had very little fries in our food, I forone got Fish and chips, and instead of coleslaw, asked for more fries. and the attached image was how many fries I got. Theyalso gave me almost no tartar sauce. Not to mention my brothers burger also having very little fries. I understand 99 is more ofa sit down restaurant but come on. TLDR: Two stars for multiple bad experiences, such as poor food quality due in some cases,lack of ordered food in others. Not a 1 star because it's about a 50/50 on us getting a bad experience currently. but it's beenenough to warrant bringing it up. Read more
