Having breakfast at the Pancake House is always a worthwhile experience. The waitresses are all very pleasant and efficient... even when the place is very busy and hectic. On Sunday mornings it is best to arrive before 9:00 AM to beat the crowd. Afterabout 10:30, there is usually a line of people waiting to be seated. The food is always good and reasonably priced and serviceis fast. A great value for breakfast in the Salem/Roanoke area! Read more
Been a few years since I have been here. The food was good except for the cold Biscuits and gravy. The service on the other... hand was horrible. Our waitress took our order and we never seen her again. After she took our food order. She never returnedbut to hand me the bill.never got the syrup for the pancakes or hot sauce, had to go get it my self. And never got my milk Ididn't know this was self serve restaurant. Been going here for decades, but the waitress this time was just awful, and the prices on the food were ridiculous. It didn't... used to cost anywhere near this much to eat here, and I know that food is more expensive nowadays, but in the markup on some ofthe items here was way above what it should have been. Sad to say I may not be back. That said, the food was delicious, and itis a great place to eat if a $20 breakfast is not unaffordable for you. Read more
