Been eating here for about 4 years and I continue to find new plates to love about this place. Their camarones empapeleados are... amazing (my current favorite) and I always have enough to take home. Their mojarra frita is also a must try, it?s a pretty beefyfried fish with a side of rice, beans and homemade tortillas???? Served very stale chips with a tiny bowl of salsa. Salsa wasn?t very good either. Asked for a michelada and they didn?t have any... domestic beer. An inexperienced waitress spilled a soda on a friends lap. We decided to leave. They became very hostile. Forcedus to pay for the chips and salsa then said we had to buy food because we had ordered a beer. Isn?t the chips and salsaconsidered food? If we?re paying for it I would say it is. Ordered the camarones a la diabla and enjoyed it very much! The corn tortillas look to be homemade. My dining partner liked... their huarache, although the carnitas wasn't stellar. Chips and salsa came in disposable plastic and paper containers, whichseemed odd. The service was annoyingly slow, especially given that we were the only other customers in the restaurant. Waitingat least 15 minutes between server interactions was not appreciated. Additionally, the prices were rather elevated for thecasual atmosphere of the restaurant. I paid $20 for my dish, which is most definitely an elevated price. I have had bettercamarones a la diabla in California for a cheaper price. Otherwise, Meño's was a nice experience but I would not go again. Read more
