Purchased the single layer Lemon Cake for $20. The cake is dense similar to a pound cake with a toothesome feel. I adore this.... We?ve tried to like the Baking Hive, but? We just bought an almond raspberry cake and it was so rubbery. (This is from an over... mixing and gluten has set up). Plus, years ago, we had ordered a cake to be delivered yet it was never delivered. When wecalled we were told the the delivery person had dropped it off. The problem is that our Ring never captured the person and our3 alarm dogs never started barking. Fine. Maybe something had happened?.but we were responded to with indignation that it HADbeen delivered! So we?ve gone back a few times since then because we do believe in supporting small businesses. However, it?shit or miss on quality and the rubbery cake is it for us. So with the less than friendly service and poor/not-consistentquality, we?re done supporting them. There toffee is good and the bars seem to be good so it?s not all bad. But there arebetter independent, small bakeries here in Salt Lake and we?ll be spending our money elsewhere. Read more
I?ve tried nearly every item here and they have all been amazing. Elisa and the other employees are all delightful and will... really brighten up your day. We?ve done awesome cakes (I like the cheeky j) and I stop by regularly for a Carmel jaguar ordirty Johnny for something delicious to look forward to. My favorite bakery in the city! Read more
My daughter had a birthday party at The Baking Hive with 8 of her friends. The little girls wore aprons and were able to bake... from scratch, and decorate their very own cupcakes. Elisa, the owner is adorable and made the party magical for the girls. Iwould highly recommend having a party here. The girls had a blast! Read more
