I took my neighbor for her birthday. Neither of had been before and we had an FANTASTIC time!! The owners were incredible! We... were treated to a beautiful hula dance, where the owner's mother who is in her 80s danced so gracefully & perfectly it broughttears to our eyes! She danced hula to Don Ho's "Tiny Bubbles" while her daughter, the co-owner blew bubbles that delicatelyfloated around the restraunt. At the time, there was one other patron, a gentleman who regularly drives 7 hours just to eat atAloha Kitchen! He even bought my friend a traditional flower Lei for her birthday, which are sold at the restraunt and made mythe grandmother (the magical hula dancer!) And the food!? OUTSTANDING!! Aloha Kitchen was wonderful! The family that owns it was so nice and welcoming. It was our first time having Hawaiian food and... they helped explain and answer any questions we had about the menu. We even learned a little about the food and culture, whichwas so great! Hoping to get to San Antonio for their Aloha festival in June.
