Terrible customer service. It was our first time there and we arrived right before a group of about five people. We walked up to... the front counter and no one was there so we waited for someone to help us. No one came right away so we grabbed some menus andsat down because we were going to dine in. As soon as we did the group of five people walked in right after us then the lady whoworks there came out from the kitchen and started helping them. She didn?t even notice that we were new and sitting there rightacross from the front counter from her even though the place is very small and there was only one other customer in therestaurant already seated before us. One of the five people started ordering and I spoke up and told her that we arrived beforethem. She didn?t understand English because the other customer had to tell her in Spanish what I said. I repeated what the othercustomer told her. She basically told us that the other customers were getting their food to go so she was planning on takingtheir order before ours. I said I don?t have time for that, we were here first and I have to go to work after so we got up andleft. This place was a waste of our time. We went and bought the same food to go somewhere else nearby with better and fasterservice and reasonable prices and the food was delicious. Read more
El Pilon was a great find. We were passing by heading into Fort Sam and just had to stop and check it out. While they have... everything you expect from a typical Puerto Rican restaurant, I have to say they have made some interesting and delicioustwists. Mofongo is no longer just Mofongo. They have duofongo and even trifongo which add yucca and sweet plantains to themasa for unique and unexpected flavors. Definitely recommended. Read more
