I'm only in town for a few days, so not at all familiar with the local food scene. I googled "bakery," and this came up. And I... am so glad I stopped in!! I tried the BBQ beef, pulled pork, and ham & cheese kolaches, and they were all great. The triplechocolate chunk cookie is a winner, too. I?m not a native Texan, so kolaches are somewhat new to me. In my short experience trying kolaches at different bakeries/donut... shops/ice houses, Kolache Stop has been the best! Jamie, the owner, is the kindest man ever, and explained the history of theKolache to my wife (a native Texan) and I. He has the best variety of sweet and savory kolaches I?ve seen, and the quality isvery high. I recommend the fig and cream cheese for a sweet, and a chorizo and egg for savory. And if you want more of a lunchbite, go with the brisket! Prices are great too, I got one sweet kolache, one savory Kolache, and a small iced coffee for under$7.00. Read more
