Wow! I did not expect a decent sushi restaurant on this side of town. I had a great experience. The staff were very friendly.... Clean and modern. I loved the music and and atmosphere. I eat nagiri 2 to 3 times a week and the hamachi (yellowtail) was betterthan most places. I finished my meal with a stress reliever. It was really really good. It reminded me of a high l end cocktailI use to get at esquire downtown. If you know good sushi and cocktails, you will love this place! The price was unbelievable aswell! I?m use to paying $5-$10 per-pice. Incredible value! Great place to start a night out or first date. Read more

I begin with saying this is my first time dining at this location of Kumori. I walk in. I notice the staff not wearing... professional restaurant attire. The sushi chefs were not in formal chef attire. I started with the Spicy Kalamari andcomplimentary Miso Soup. Some of the plates and bowls had chips on them. They also served our sauces in a plastic container youwould expect from a Wendy?s ketchup dispenser. The Kalamari was over cooked and not very appealing to look at. After finishingthat I ordered the Hawaiian roll. The Hawaiian roll was not proportionate to each roll. The rice used for the roll was alsounder cooked and falling apart. Also each Roll was oversized with too much of all the ingredients used to make a Hawaiian roll. The worst part of all. The strawberry sauce that is supposed to be dotted on top of one half of the roll was poured on thelength of the whole roll. Spicy mayo sauce also drenched my whole roll as well. The sauces over powered the whole roll and gavethe roll a horrible texture. My wife?s California Special roll was also oversized as though we were dining at Whata- burger. Mywife nor I whata sized our meal and did not know this was an option. This restaurant literally gave us an oversized portionthus giving us a free portion of food. My wife ordered a cucumber martini and our server went behind the bar and began to makeher drink. Since when did a server begin wearing so many hats now a days. Like my gut told me, our server did not mix her drinkcorrectly. All of these problems we had made a huge statement to my wife and I. The statement was ?I do not care about thisbusiness or restaurant or our customers.? This restaurant does not take their profession seriously and needs a wake upcall. Now I understand why there was no one else seated in this restaurant at lunch time on a Tuesday. Now if you think I?mcrazy, I challenge you to go to eat at Kumori Culebra vs Kumori 151. There is a night and day difference. I spent 64 Dol Read more

Went in, usually like the place, we're sat immediately, and then sat there 20 mins no server ever approached the table. We... asked, Noone came, we had to leave or starve. @TheOwner... The manager needs replacement. Read more

This is a great date spot. Food and ambiance is a step above casual with pretty fair prices, and the service is usually always... pretty great, when they?re properly staffed. I?ve had Michael as a server here multiple times and I gotta say that he?s atop-rate employee. He follows all steps of service, he?s charming, and he knows how to read the energy of his tables and respondappropriately. I don?t usually like to converse much with anyone except the person I am eating with, and so he always keeps itsimple and formal with us while still being hospitable and friendly. On the other hand, I saw him conversing with a family andsharing jokes with him. Drinks never run low, chopstick and straw wrappers are always removed from the table promptly. Excellentservice from Michael. I will say that the business/banter behind the bar at this location has seemed a little unprofessional attimes, but that seems to have gotten better in the last few months. Previously it has just seemed hard to approach the counterto order to-go or ask a question. As a client, I?ve gotten that ?I don?t wanna disturb you? feeling towards the employee thatyou just don?t get when they?re being more hospitable behind the bar. Wait times to be seen once seated or to receive the foodafter ordering can be pretty long if there are too few people on the floor, but that?s not a quality issue. I try to go duringhours that aren?t as busy, and wait times have never been a problem then. Read more
