Merit has become probably one of the most well-known "small" coffee shops here in San Antonio. It's got the perfect cozy,... studious aesthetic and great coffee. It's understandable why everybody loves it so much. The only thing that really brings therating down is the customer service. For years, almost every time I go here the workers are either very blunt or very rude, orboth. Sometimes they'll even give dirty looks to customers or me. This is something I've noticed at nearly every location I'vebeen to, so I don't know what it is. It just seems like most of the people working at Merit are usually unhappy for whateverreason. Anyway, like I said the coffee is great! It's undeniable. So it's still definitely worth it, despite its higherprices. 4 / 5 stars. Read more
The coffee is delicious. I get mine decaf, hubs is caffeinated. Been twice. First time was better, my iced latte was soooo... good. Second time it was way too sweet, I couldn't drink it. Hoping the next visit will be like the first! Read more
Merit Coffee makes a great first impression, to start the place was packed with students, remote workers, good conversations,... and an amazing aroma. The staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Our iced Coffee was prepared quickly andwas pretty darn good and left us wanting more!! Got a small lavender latte. It was good but a little too sweet for me (I should have specified). The large latte is 4 shots of... espresso!!! The Cafe itself is hip and industrial looking with lots of young people. You can get fresh beans here and they'llgrind it for you if you want. I bought a bag to bring home to see how it compares with my local coffee roasters and will amendthis review. Read more
