For me, there are two things that make a salad unique; the protein and the dressing. And boy when I say Roots Salad Kitchen has... it all, I mean they have it all. Firstly, all the proteins are hot in temperature with the right amount of spicy heat to themand secondly, the dressing are like no other I have ever tasted. I am still working my way through the menu but my favorites sofar are the the Southwest Jerk(chicken) Salad and the Grilled Salmon Summer Salad. We saw this place while riding by on our bikes. Stopped in for a quick lunch and were blown away at how good the food was! We... both got wraps because we figured we could take them to-go on our bikes but ended up eating our order there plus a smoothie. SOgood and healthy! They make their own sauces/dressings in-house and they are perfection!!! The personal pride of the ownersshines through with the quality and presentation. I had a remarkable time at Roots Salad Kitchen and couldn?t wait to share my experience. The location is absolutely gorgeous!... I?m huge on scenery, so automatically I was sold. There is outdoor seating available and it boasts a stunning view of the SanAntonio River. For parking there is a nearby garage that was a quick walk to the restaurant, and spaces along the road. I wentwhen there was not a large crowd, and my food was out in minutes. The best chicken hands down, by the way. I can?t wait to trythe salads as a wrap (I got the Southwest Jerk Salad). The superior customer service, cleanliness, ambiance, views, andDELECTABLE food has turned me into a customer for life! Have eaten here on several occasions and is always tasty! I love making the Southwest Jerk Salad into a wrap and their smoothies... are very refreshing. It is a bit on the pricey side but I am never disappointed with my food. My only wish is that they wouldcut down on the plastic containers and use more sustainable products. I feel a bit guilty having to deal with all of theleftover plastic after enjoying a healthy and organic meal. Read more
