Great concept n variety. However, the line was ran by teens who wear gloves to grab your veggies. These kids were cleaning... counters wearing the same gloves used to grab the veggies n throw them in my my salad bowl. I called him out on it, n anotherlittle guys took over, saying his gloves were clean. I still couldn?t really enjoy nor finish my salad. Pretty disgusted. I seethere?s a previous review of 3 months ago with similar feedback n despite the fact the review was acknowledged , it?s obviousthere was nothing done about it. That was my first n last time at salatas. 08/04 I see now there?s a reply from the owner formarketing purposes. It is sad, how many reviews there are about employees using the same gloves to clean and serve. Employeesbeing rude n unhappy AND YET, no action is taken. This place should be closed down or something. They take reviews as a jokebecause they keep on selling. Read more

I have to completely agree with a previous reviewer, David. I rarely even leave reviews (good or bad) .The food is great and I... love the customization aspect of each meal. This is only my second time ever at a Salata, first at this location. As soon as Iwalked in, I definitely felt the negative vibe. Every single employee looked miserable despite me having a positive attitudeand making sure I thanked them in each section. This reflects poor management, probably poor pay, and poor morale. For customersspending nearly $20 on a salad, it might be that profit takes priority over happy employees. I took my wrap to go to eat in mycar where it's peaceful. Lol Owner, do something about your management. Read more

This is the lowest rating I've given. I've been to 3 Salatas in San Antonio and this location finishes last. It wasn't the... salad... because a salad is hard to mess up. It was the energy, and environment the employees created, and the lack of pride andownership taken in the stores presence. Let me begin with step 2 in the salad making process... veggies. I received the last 5sliced green olives. I asked the employee, "is there more in the back?" She quickly said, "no, that's it." At 2PM??? As I moveddown the line, the young man placing Avocado on my wife's salad, placed the Avocado on her bowl and thew the peel away bybanking it off their wall, leaving a nice green splat. Next station was the mixing station led by their shift lead. In my book, the shift lead sets the tone, they motivate their employees and insist on high standards. Not this lead... her smug, lazy almostannoyed attitude infected each of their employees right down to the cashier. As I began looking around the restaurant, Iwitnessed dirty tables, guests having to wipe down chairs and tables, poor painting, chipped paint, cabinets falling off hingesand a dirty condiment section. This is all a reflection of poor supervision and leadership. Failed operation. My 2 stars issolely because the food always hits the spot but the performance and attitudes of the staff should add to the experience. Andwhich they didn't. Salata is a great business with amazing options however, without leadership to make the vision a reality allyou have is a dirty closet with good salad. I feel bad but I must be honest. I hope they turn the ship around and improve theexperience. Good luck team! I know you can do it! Oh... 5 mins later they brought out more sliced olives. So I was liedto. Stay Hungry San Antonio!
