Smack dab in SD, and right on the corner, is, well, an awesome corner coffee shop. The barista knew the coffees well, and I?m... thankful for that because I like to ask questions about coffee and what?s popular etc. This store had pour over, espresso, drip, you name it, and an extensive food menu. Parking can be tricky as it is right in Downtown SD, but we?ll worth visiting for aquality cup of coffee made by people who care about the coffee. Read more

Decent coffee but rude barista and poor service. Took 15 minutes give or take to make a pour over covfefe that was already... lukewarm when served (of course I let it cool down to taste it better, but it should be served hot). I inquired about therestroom (I really, really needed to pee) and the barista told me with a smirk and with no apologies that it was out of order(the sign on the door looks rather permanent, so I'm not so sure it's true). I was embarrassed for them as they didn't apologizenor offer to let me use the employees restroom. I didn't ask to not be rude myself. After asking if she knew if there were anybathrooms in the area, the barista was unhelpful nor sympathetic to my issue. Had to go around the block hunting for a restroomand found one in a hotel nearby they let me use and came back 5-10 minutes later with the covfefe I ordered still not ready (hadto wait 5 more minutes at least, although generally it takes 5 minutes max for a pour over with Chemex of V60, including themanual grinding of the beans). Also, they don't have wi-fi, which is borderline criminal for a coffee place. I doubt I will comeback. Read more

I ordered one of their Concoctions called The Finest City which has vanilla and cinnamon. It was hot out, so I ordered it iced.... The flavor profile was slightly (read: not very, in a good way) sweet and very creamy. A tad too creamy for my tastes; I thinkI'd order a cold brew next time. But it exuded quality. Read more

So I stopped by this coffee shop for coffee because I was driving buy and the curb appeal caught my eye. I passed it so I... reversed 50 to 100 yards and parked behind an F150 that was parked in Front of the store. I got out of my car, dropped my blackand mild on the sidewalk and started to stand in line. The double doors were open and I was the only customer that did not crossthe threshold of the doorway. There were about 4 to 5 customers waiting to order in front of me,not including an extremely dirtyshirtless and shoeless guy in the store in which the employee in question gave him a water cup it appeared. The homeless manthanked the employee and left with his water cup no problems.I thought she was pretty nice for that.(at that moment). The paceof the employees reflected the 0740 time of day and the line was long so I decided to return to my black and mild smoking untilthe line progressed. I returned to my car to to check my phone my music was playing on low as I had left my car running becauseit was directly in front of the building. I closed my passenger car door after checking my phone, turned around and continuedsmoking as I monitored the line. I noticed an Asian man working on his laptop outside the shop as he drank his coffee. Momentslater I noticed an Asian older lady approaching the coffee shop and line, so I stepped closer to the door to indicate I was aswanting to purchase coffee. The Asian lady acknowledged me being in line and kind of laid back instead of cutting me in line.Prior to that there was a white lady who instead of acknowledging my presence outside the door she walked right passed me toplace herself at the threshold of the door. It wasnt a big deal so I didnt mention it but that is why I made sure the nextperson know I was iwalked around in a circle a few time then noticed the Asian lady lite a cigarette and walked a few yards awayfrom were I was standing. I thought to myself " she didnt even want a cigarette, she just sa Read more
