My husband, our son and i came for Italian dinner on Sunday to Ambrogio15 so our son can carb load while here in San Diego Surf Sports park for National Soccer Finals. We had very personable and attentive server Ian 5*/5*. We started with caesar salad for appetizer followed with Lasagna's one vegetarian mushroom and one beef and my husband got pizza. The food was delicious however did not make my top Italian list so 4*/5*. If you up for a pizza this is great place with ton of choices however if you thinking pasta there was none aside from two types of lasagna's. I also found wine by the bottle's on expensive side. Maybe 1/2 bottle option would be nice esp for 2 adults. Overall great atmosphere, friendly outstanding service by Ian and really good food.
It was very nice place just on the inside of the upper balcony. It has a bar on the upper level but we sat on the main floor. I f you go you must buy the Cheese Plate, it is perfect for four people and very delicious. The margarita pizza is sooooooo good. Plus, they even know the difference between Coke and Mexican Coke (hint Mexican Coke is much better, it has a different sugar).
My first time to visit this Italian restaurant. Unfortunately I did not have a very good experience. When I ordered a glass of red Sangiovese wine from Tuscany for $16 I was given the smallest pour ever. I asked the owner why the pour was so small. He told me it was a 4.3 ounce pour. I responded if this is the size of wine I get for $16 I would never return to this restaurant. The owner then came back with a bit more wine ? for my glass Then I ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza. When the waiter handed me the Parmesan cheese in the shaker jar contained a live BUG inside ? ? Obviously I complained about the live bug ? and returned it. The pizza was not to my liking since it was very slim on every ingredient. Mostly bread. Finally I ordered the chocolate salami dessert and it was hard as a rock ? Maybe ??? it was FROZEN. ?????? I don't know why this restaurant has a 4.7 rating. I was not at all impressed. No discount for the bug ? being served to me. No apology Nothing This dinner cost $60 Definitely not worth it!
Awesome and friendly service, great appetizers and wine, and of course amazing and unique pizza. Oddly enough I really liked the water glasses, a fresh and artistic approach with a nod to the classic red plastic water cups at old school pizza diners.
So many great reviews, don?t eat pizza very often, and was looking forward to this. Everyone has an off day, but both items ended up being thrown out. We ordered a Cesar salad and a pizza. The pizza was so soggy when you picked up a slice the toppings just slid off and it just made a mess. The leafs of the salad were browning on the edges. The waitstaff were friendly and the place was clean.
Best pizza in San Diego in my opinion!! Cute place, impeccable pizza and wonderful service! I highly recommend. Tip: their wine list is great, not to mention the desserts!!! If you haven't been there yet, just go!
This was a nice finding today! It's a small restaurant, not in a very commercial area, in a small plaza. The food feels like homemade and authentic Italian. The desserts are delicious! Specially the one with nutella (yum!). The service is slow so be prepared to wait for your food. Overall is a place we'll go back to try other plates.
We went for a couples night out a week ago. Our friends have been here several times, and it?s my husband and my first time. Our server was very sweet and accommodating. My husband is allergic to milk protein and she was helpful in pointing out what he can have. We also wanted to share appetizers and pizza & it is great that they had vegan cheese and dessert. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience.
Dive into a new experience with food and allow Ambrogio15 to bring you something special. We have options for every member of the family to explore! Feel free to explore our restaurant menu!
