Brother's Mexican is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants not only in the North Park neighborhood but in all of San... Diego. The owner, one of the brothers, is always there making sure the quality and freshness of the food is always on it'shighest level. No matter what you order it's going to be cooked with care and plated with love. I have never.... EVER had abad experience with my visits to Brothers. They have a large list of draft beers local domestic and craft. Plenty of tv's onthe wall to sit down, enjoy your food and watch the game or the fight. I'm not huge on fried food but they have the BEST fishtaco i have ever had! The batter is great. It's always crispy fried to perfection and the salsa they put on it is out of thisworld! I highly recommend the carne asada conga burrito, their rice and beans, their shrimp ceviche, which is also on theirhappy hour menu. Drink and food specials daily. This place is a big part of the neighborhood and I'm happy to have been part ofit since day 1. I usually always make a point to go on Friday or Saturday night. They set up outside with the street tacos andTJ dogs. My favorite! Im a regular at Brothers Mexican and I can't recommend it enough. Go for yourself and see why this iseven better than 5 stars. Got takeout from here the other day. We're going through a heatwave. This place has a couple ac units on the wall but,... unfortunately, it wasn't very effective and it was hot. So... Takeout was a good idea this time. Got some burritos (carne asada,California, Brothers, and veggie), menudo, and carne asada fries. The menudo was good. Burritos were good. Family membersmentioned the meat maybe need to marinate a little longer because it was a bit bland. ? The food is fair. The service is good.They're friendly and appreciative of the patronage. A/C was broke pretty warm. Had HH big Carne asada tacos and beer. Not much flavor in meat corn tortillas good and small beer... selection. Not bad but will try something different next time. Serving size very good and great server. Read more

Chips and salsa were right out of a grocery store package. Mini tacos for the taco Tuesday special were fine, but my companion?s... food was not fully warmed up.
