Experience: Ramen was 5 star. Broth was thick and noodles tasted fresh. Ordered add-ons to the Ramen of a salad and rice bowl... which made the meal hard to finish from a portion perspective (my GF was unable to). I upgraded to the salmon rice bowl which idont think was as good as the standard tuna. Chashu looked like bacon. Service: Service staff are much more friendly than menyaultra. Rating Ramen at this level is hard to distinguish between the best spots in San diego. The best! We found HiroNori in Santa Clara up north in the Bay, and were so happy that they have a San Diego location where we... moved back home to!! We love that they serve flavored or fruit infused water. I think it's watermelon, basil and somethingelse? We get the Tonkotsu Ramen with thick noodle, and the pork chashu that comes with it is the BEST! It's such a huge pieceand has the best flavor! We get their Crispy Chicken too, always tasty! The few times we've been it wasn't too long a wait,maybe 10-20 minutes max. FYI This location adds 15% automatically to the bill, so don't add anymore they say. Read more
I had the Tonkotsu Ramen with pork and added garlic. The pork was tender and delicious, noodles cooked perfectly with flavorful... broth! Best ramen I?ve had in a long time. Service was great? they do not allow tips and charge a 16% tip to the bill, which wasfine, as the service was awesome! The water they serve is very aromatic has hints of mint and watermelon. We really like HiroNori, and previously we had tried it in Irvine. But somehow their San Diego location was even better (in... terms of food quality and taste). Although they have a very small space and you may end up waiting for a long time to be seated.Meanwhile the neighborhood is nice and we took a walk, which was fun!
