I recently tried this place for the first time, and I went back the very next day because it was so good! I also really... appreciate that they are open relatively late; a lot of sandwich shops seem to close around like 5/6/7. Ike's is super deliciousand fresh and they have SO many options. Dutch crunch bread was good - a little light on the meat content (pastrami #91) - flavor was OK, but it seemed like the emphasis... was on everything else except the meat (purple slaw, sauce). I get a sandwich for the meat and what accentuates the flavorprofile of the meat. Decor of the store seemed like something from a comic book - just not my style even for a quick-servicesandwich shop. Nobody said the bread is sweet and the sauce is sweet. If I wanted a donut I would have gone for donuts. Very dissatisfied

Visiting San Diego from out of town, and we stopped by after a day of thrifting. My significant other has raved about this... sandwich shop for forever, but they seem to only be in CA. We got the Ménage a Trois on their Dutch bread and voodoo chips.Hands down the best sandwich I?ve ever had! A large part of it was the bread, plus the full flavor that packed a punch!
