This used to be my absolute favorite vegan place. I would drive an hour south once a month just to come here. I even brought 12... of my non-vegan friends here to show them that vegan food can be excellent and they agreed. However, the owner has decided thatthey rather make money than keep to their word and support animals. This place has totally flipped from being fully vegan, toserving some fish but mostly vegan, and now they are fully real fish with some vegan options. I will never go here ever again. Istayed around when they announced they were gonna start serving fish but now that it?s their main source of food there, I willno longer freely advertise this place to my friends. Read more
No. They don't use real sushi rice but they do use A LOT of rice in their rolls. It was pretty bland too. It's super overpriced... but have low budget quality. This restaurant is more for out-of-town tourists who don't know what good sushi is. Sorry but ifyou're gonna charge that much, then you should at least have good quality food. Read more
It is really hard to tell from the 2 food menus, but we asked the waitress to explain to us - now MOST the menu is vegan but... they have a page that is real raw fish (sashimi, rolls. Etc) which is ?made in a separate kitchen.? It would be really helpfulfor vegans if the fake fish items were labeled as such on the menu because they are spelled normally with no quotationmarks/labels so we still questioned what was real or imitation, or vegan (?imitation crab? usually spelled Krab on menus, forexample is still a fish product so sushi is tricky). I understand a lot of the confusion that other reviews mention but this isfixable with menu edits! The shishito peppers were delicious! Presentation is very nice. There was a huge cockroach on the floorbut I do see them in this neighborhood. Read more

Absolutely amazing food, with even better service! We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner during our meal today, and she... did everything possible to make our experience amazing. Whether you are vegan or not, Now Sushi has some of the best sushi youwill find. I am a big meat eater and sushi fan, and I would have never known that the sushi I was eating was 100% vegan! I wastruly blown away. 10/10 recommend this restaurant every time and will come back whenever I am in San Diego. Love from Texas! Read more
