Love no frills spicy city. It tastes best to eat in-house. As we got take out many times during the pandemic and it just... didn’t taste quite right. Now that we can dine-in and have been several times, I had to update my review and it’s back tothe spicy city we know and loved for over a decade. Our favorite Chinese spot in town. Large menu which we think is smaller thanit used to be but oh well, our favorites and more are still available. Read more

Amazing spicy and flavorful Sichuan dishes! Ordered take-out and everything was great! Helpful staff and fast service. We... ordered Cumin lamb, Chef’s special green beans, fried chicken cubes with hot peppers and Sichuan spicy cold noodles (notpictured). They offer levels of spice to meet all needs and if you want it really spicy, this is the place! We will be back. Read more

Got the dumplings in chili oil, eggplant, Dan Dan noodles, and pork with buns. Everything was great, albeit a little oily. I... think the eggplant dish was too generous for 3 people -- it was impossible to finish. The pork with buns were delicious, myfavorite. And the Dan Dan noodles were delicious. Read more

We were visiting from Arizona and looked up restaurants with good reviews; this one was on the list and we can see why. The food... had great flavor and it was served family style. The service was also quick: our server and busser were friendly and offeredhelpful recommendations. We will eat here the next time we’re in San Diego! Read more
