Superior Soul Food is exactly that. I first had it when I was visiting this past June, and I actually didn't even want soul... food. But my sister wanted some, so we googled and found Superior and I'm so glad I relented! We both got wings, I had lemonpepper, she had Harold's mild sauce, and we had the Mac and cheese, rice and beans, greens and cornbread. Everything wasdelicious, well flavored, good portions and a good price. Easy online ordering and when you arrive they bring your order out toyou. I've recently moved here and have already been back. Was a little put off when I found out that it was out of someone's home but I went through and ordered it anyway and boy am I... glad. This food is the real deal Soul Food. Mac and Cheese was on point and collard greens were seasoned to perfection. TheChicken had to be cooked by our ancestors because it was that good. I have found my new soul food spot. Great job!! I'm gonna be honest I was very skeptical about ordering when I pulled up and found it was a house and a physical business... building. I am not a local and was looking for some good soul food. The reviews were very helpful in my decision to place anorder. When I tell you our food was sooo delicious and well seasoned it really was!!! The yams were the perfect amount of sweetand tender. My kids had the tenders and my daughter who is a worse food critic than me said her Lemon Pepper tenders were reallygood and plentiful. The Mac and cheese was creamy, cheese and really good. The greens were perfectly seasoned and had the rightabout of spice. I really enjoyed my wings. Thanks for the hot sauce which topped it all off. Wish I lived here cause I would beback. Fantastic! Just perfect. I randomly was looking on my gps for something to eat that was different and saw this place. I love the... simple menu choices. The lemon pepper & regular chicken was great! Collard greens, rice and beans, mac cheese and cornbreaddelicious!! And the last best thing is the banana pudding..hellllooooooo! Yum. Note that this business is out from a cute littlehouse in barrio logan area. We placed order ahead of time (awesome online ordering app and text communication response in timelymatter). They come outside to hand deliver it in person. Friendly gentlemen! I think it was the owner, not sure. Highlyrecommended for great soul food and of course we support local businesses. BEST SOUL FOOD IN SD! I have tried multiple soul food joints in SD & NONE compare!! I had the Slap Ya Mama tenders which were... cooked AND seasoned to perfection! The Mac n Cheese is to die for and the CORNBREAD? unmatched. The owner Derek spoke to us asit was our first time & topped off the experience. Super genuine people & amazing food.
