I loved this place! I was here for lunch solo on a weekday and sat at the bar. The staff are very friendly, and the pizzas are... delicious (the Hearst was amazing, but definitely big enough for 2 people!). There was outside seating but it was pretty fullwhen I arrived at 1230 on a nice day during summer. I definitely recommend Archive. Read more
This place is much better on the inside than it looks on first glance from the outside. The food is anchored in pizza, with a... really long list of shareable sides and salads. Oh, try The Hearst - as pizza goes it was great. They do wonder a bit intocraft cocktails. I think you are wiser drinking beer - but it seems everyone has to take their own twist on a Manhattan no adays. Short answer - I would come back. I came here with a friend for a late lunch (around 2pm on a Friday afternoon). We were visiting San Francisco for the... weekend. The good: Excellent, friendly, and attentive service; tasty drinks, willing to accommodate changes due to dietaryrestrictions (without a fee); the food is delicious and appropriately portioned to leave you full but not stuffed. I had theturkey club and my companion had the porchetta. Both were wonderful. They are served with house made pickles and potatochips. The bad: the drink menu is VERY limited. They do NOT have a full bar. So, if none of the drinks on their menu tickleyour fancy, you're out luck--I was pretty bummed about the drinks.
