Don't visit this deserted diner selling overpriced, unappealing food. A few months ago, I heard that Denny's sells onion rings,... so I decided I'd visit. I'd never been to a Denny's before. I was greeted by a server who told me to sit anywhere, as long as itwas on the right side, which seemed weird to me, but okay. There weren't many people inside; I'd say it was about 5% full. Afterfinding my seat, I looked through the menu to confirm there were onion rings, which were all the way at the back. The prices foreverything were pretty high, even for SF. Also, I noticed there were bottles of soy sauce on the tables, which is a bit strangefor a diner. A different server came and asked if I was ready to order. I ordered the onion rings and also asked what sherecommended. I told her I didn't really want a meal, so she said the grilled cheese sandwich with soup, $14.99, but since theydon't have soup, they could substitute it for onion rings. My food arrived about 10 minutes later. The grilled cheese sandwichturned out to be nothing special: a Kraft single between two pieces of buttered Wonder bread. The onion rings were piping hot,but the onion inside wasn't thoroughly cooked, which meant separating from the batter when bitten, a sign of a poorly madering. After eating, I got my bill totaling $18.63. There was an additional $1.49 charge for the onion rings, labeled as "seasfries." I thought it would be the same price as the sandwich and soup because it was just a substitution and I didn't ask forit, the server offered. Insincere and dishonest staff. I had hot chocolate and when i paid the bill i asked how much i need to pay for tip since i?m... foreigner i don?t live here and i don?t even know how to calculate the gratuities and i?ve already explained them. The cashierstaff said like you don?t need to pay bla bla but i insisted that i wanted to because it?s a thing in US. So i paid cash total10$ for only one hot chocolate (5$). I?m speechless since i didn?t get any good service here at all. Really good food. But because it is in San Francisco, prices are a little expensive more than usual. 2 dishes $60. The Denny ?s... is right around the corner from the Mosser Hotel and the Marriott no more than 300 feet. Overall a really accessible location.The AMC imax theatre right at the corner. Read more

The location isn't like the photo. The location looks small but when you go in, it is really big. We were seated rather quickly... and received or drinks very promptly. We noticed that when other customers came in the too were seated quickly and received thesame service with a smile. We ordered our dinner and what seemed only five minutes out comes our meals hot and ready to devour.The waitress was pleasant to hold a conversation with and mingled.
