This was the worst meal I have ever had at this price point. 53 dollar prefix and it was remarkably bad. I got the lamb and... eggplant main. The lamb was flavorless and cooked to mush. The eggplant was the simplest floppy roast eggplant. The bread theybrought to the table was really underdone. Tasted raw and really sweet. It was inedible. Lentil soup was decent but that was theonly part of the whole meal I can speak positively on. The Moroccan salad was gross! Really oily and obvious that they had madeit the day before. So a lot of the components were musty and had lost their fresh crisp flavor. The baked chicken pastry wasunique but cold and tasted a day old at least. The mint tea that was part of the desert course tasted like mint sugar syrup. Iunderstand it is supposed to be sweet but this was sickening. I can’t talk enough about how bad the food was it was absolutelythe worst meal I have had in a long time ESPECIALLY FOR 50 DOLLARS!! The service was absolutely creepy. The whole time myfriend and I were dining there was always at least one waiter standing no more than 5 feet away from us staring at us. Sometimesone would stand behind my friend and another would stand behind me. Beyond giving us no room to breathe they were reallyunprofessional, whispering creepy anecdotes about the guests to each other and laughing even when they were bringing plates tothe table. The ambiance is cool but the space is also claustrophobic. This place is my least favorite restaurant I might haveever been to. It is an absolute rip off they are putting no care into their food or service and just want to fleece you. AVOIDAT ALL COSTS! Read more

Had the lamb with olives course. Entrees were fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. Tea at the end was on the sweeter side so ask... for non-sweetened version of that's more to your liking. Read more

Still great service and food! Have eaten Moroccan food all over the world including Morocco. Been coming here for years and... finally back in San Francisco after 9 months. Got takeout on a busy Saturday night. Fabulous lamb with honey and almonds, super moist and tender. Excellent lemon chicken. Terrific Moroccan classic salad. Wonderful Bastela du Chef. Baklava notoverly sweet. The whole 9 yards to go. Fantastic. I pray they continue to slog through Covid. Book ahead if you're eatingthere. The owner, Sai, keeps a close eye on quality and Ken, the manager, is super attentive. Read more
