Ordered the entire small bites menu ... which was amazing - the Mexican-American chef knowshow to apply heat in just the right places. Moved on to mains, with the vegan option being appreciated by the most thorough-bredof carnivores. Finished off with nibbles of bread and croquettes. It was a delightful experience. All the way. Came here for a girls night on a Friday night and it was poppin! Friendly service, great wine selection, ok food. The interior... design made me feel like I’m eating inside a wine cellar with dim lighting, loud conversations, and good vibes. Highlights -Extensive wine selection and service. We didn’t have a brand in mind, and the waiter asked us a few questions and made a fewrecommendations. - Brought out the dishes in courses with sharing utensils. This helped pace the meal. Fries 4/5 -well-seasoned, generous portion relative to the rest of the courses. Cauliflower 3/5 - crunchy, seasoned. Pull apart bread 4/5- soft and warm, sweet honey sauce. Brussel sprouts 2/5 - shaved Brussels with avocado and topped with shredded cheese. Reallylight dish. Pork belly and rice cakes 2/5 - rice cakes were a little too sweet for my taste, given the pork belly was also onthe sweeter side. Came here with a group of 5 for a girls night and really had a good time! Good: Really unique dishes and good wine bar! We got... the carbonara dish which was great but each of us got to eat like 3 rice cakes and one piece of pork belly for our group size.The other standouts were the spiced french fries- super great dipping sauce too. The bread were alright - I liked the pullapart bread more than the sesame bread since it barely had any flavor. The cauliflower was good too, a little spicy but wasreally small as well portion size wise. Bad: Service definitely took a long time and it was also such small portions - sopretty expensive if you're hungry. Not the biggest fan of the shaved brussel sprouts - too raw and not much flavor. We had a dinner for 11 (coworkers) and had a preset menu. We were able to discuss and set wine pairings for each course after we... arrived. The restaurant was very helpful with dietary restrictions and helping find some delicious non-alcoholic beverages forthe 2 in our party that abstained. Food was delightful and many courses and items were unique and unexpected. The atmosphere wascasual, comfortable and unpretentious. The personal service and warmth from the restaurant was very much appreciated! We had afantastic dinner, and appreciated how local and seasonal the restaurant focus is. Read more
