Ordered 4 cookies and milk. Got a phone call notifying me that they were out of 1 of the 4 cookies I ordered and we agreed on a... replacement. A little annoying, but fine. My order arrived and 2 of the 4 cookies (the larger, more expensive ones, of course)were NOT the ones I ordered AND they were stone cold AND the driver forgot the milk. I called the delivery driver to see if Icould at least get a refund on the milk that he forgot to grab from the fridge. He answered and then immediately hung up when herealized who I was. I called again and his phone was on airplane mode. Downright pathetic. I ended up paying $25 for 4 cold,hard cookies, only 2 of which I had actually ordered (again, the 2 least expensive) and milk that never arrived. Would givenegative infinity stars if I could. They had a sign outside saying $2 off but after waiting in line they said it no longer applied. Then they changed the story to... online orders only. Decided to roll by here after a bay area Panthers game at the SAP Center in downtown San Jose. First thing I noticed was that it... is quite a small and a rather bold shop especially since it is located directly across the street from another famous cookie andice cream shop. It was surprising to me that San Jose business owning would even allow this degree of direct competition soclose to each other. It would be like putting two nail salons next door to each other. But given that I had never tried thisparticular franchise and the other is more than well known, I decided to give this one a shot along with my wife and cousins.When you walk into the store it is small with few spaces for guests to sit which isn't surprising given that we are still inCovid times and the square footage is not large at all. The other thing I noted was that the ice cream selection was relativelysmall. That would generally indicate to me that you are going to be choosing from a small selection that all must be relativelygreat since there isn't shelf room for a wider selection. As is expected you can order your ice cream and cookie in differentforms and I opted for the sandwich with two different cookies top and bottom. I ordered the peanut butter and chocolate chip.Although I wasn't overly impressed by the ice cream the cookies themselves were outstanding. I don't know how fresh it was butit tasted excellent and seemed very fresh being slightly warm with a soft center and an exterior that was just crispy and crustyenough. Not being a cookie guy I would consider this an outstanding cookie experience because I don't typically think much ofcookies to begin with, but this made my eyes widen. All in all, it was a good experience that could have been greater if the icecream left more of an impression on me, but either way the cookies did and for that I could recommend this place if nothing morethen to just go in and try a freshly baked cookie. Came for a snack on a Weds and grabbed a delicious double chocolate chip cookie. Establishment was clean and staff was nice and... had the warm cookie readily equipped upon sliding my card for payment.
