One star at best. Where to begin the area is super shady a lot of unsavory types of people hanging out around the restuarant... definitely not some where you want to bring your family to. The inside is bleak, dirty bathroom exposed electric wiring andrandom pictures on the wall. The tables seem to be from an old chilis chain restaurant. As far as the food and service goes Iguess I should have known better, the couple of times I've been to this place I've been the only customer or there has been only1 other person there. The food is at best 2 stars but the service is horrible which is unfortunate for a family restaurant. Theson who operates the cash register is nice but super awkward the mom who seems to be the main cook is nice until you have anycriticism, the customer is never right and last but not least is the daughter who seems ready to fight and troll anyone forleaving a negative review online. There are many other halal options available in 2018. Spend your money where the food is goodand the service is even better. De afghanan in Fremont or Salang. Read more

I went to the Maiwand Kabab House of San Jose, CA. It?s located on1202 E Santa Clara Street. I ordered 4 boulanee today. They... were salty, burned, and had no taste at all. I have never ever had this kind of tasteless boulanee in my life. It seems thatnone is going to this restaurant since we were there for over an hour for dinner and none showed up. I have discovered from thereceipt that this place served only 12 customers from 10 am till 8 pm. The owner who seemed to be the chef as well asked meabout the food and I told her the truth about the issues with boulanee; however, instead of being apoplectic for her badservice, she really got mad and disappointed. Perfect cultural food. Clean, neat, delicious and amazing Park is either at the street or at the back of the restaurant where... the entrance is adjacent to the building closer to downtown side. Affordable & reasonable prices that don't ruin the quality ofthe food. The place provides Halal food. I'd come back to this restaurant. Read more
