The quality of their sashimi is great. The Hamachi sashimi was super fresh and their rolls, especially Drunk Guy, were... delicious! Their crew was very friendly and took our photos. Read more

I'm giving this place four stars based on the sushi being good, maybe not great, but the people that work there are pretty cool.... This place has been struck pretty hard by COVID, so you see a lot less people there than normal. Above the sushi bar, there's acollage of photos from when this place was generating a lot more business, and now the slowdown can be seen in how theingredients are stored at the sushi bar. Instead of having everything sprawled out across a platter where it's easy to see, mostof the items are partly wrapped or found inside of Tupperware. I can't say the sushi was bad, because it wasn't, butconsidering the situation, I surely haven't tasted it at its best. The people there are extremely nice, and since there were nota lot of other customers in the building, they spent a lot of time conversing with me about some pretty interestingsubjects. The sake special is one of the best reasons to visit this place, as it's buy one get the other for like 10¢, andoverall, it's still one of the best experiences you can have in the Bay Area. We were there for the weekend and stayed across the street @ the Holiday Inn so it was convenient. The fish was fresh but for... the location I think it’s overpriced. Read more

We visited Sushi Kan because of its great reviews. We were overall quite happy with our experience but the sushi and sashimi... could've been better. Just to get clear, the other dishes we had were quite delicious - bulgogi, udon, rolls, etc. But theyweren't special nor authentic. Just a good decent tasting food. But obviously a sushi restaurant must be judged by itssushi. We did the chef's special nigiri+sashimi. Everything felt average. Decent fish, decent portions... but nothing tocommand such a high Google review score. I wish they'd have more "high end" pieces (ie. hotate, toro) rather than sprinkle withregular tuna varieties. The server was super nice and friendly which added to the atmosphere. Don't get me wrong. Definitelyone of the better sushi joints but nothing worthy of 5 stars... Read more
