Wonderful service and the fried chicken is a must. Huge portion and perfectly fried, not too oily. Tasty side of mashed potatoes... and roasted veggies. Lots of local beers. Read more
Last visited here 20 years ago. We remembered fondly of our experience. This time we went for breakfast on a Tuesday. This... probably explained why our food tasted like it was done by a dishwasher on trial for promotion? Maybe we visited on an "offday". Unless staying at the property and can't be bothered to drive, go elsewhere. Read more
Ate there on Oct 24, 2021. Big disappointment. Not at all like the first or second time we ate there back in 2015. Mushroom... appetizer and broccoli appetizer were both cold and tasteless and the rib eye steaks we ordered were more rare than medium likewe ordered. The steaks were like warm instead of hot and the thick slice of butter on top never even melted. They had a thicklayer of fat on the edges and we had to saw through them instead of cut through them. We both had just a few bites then leftthem on the table. Definitely not worthy of a $48 price tag each. Service was not up to par like we remember either. When theserver asked how things were, I said not very good. She just said oh ok and walked away. Only thing good was the old fashioneddrink the bartender made. Never again at this restaurant. Had a wonderful dinner with my husband and our friends on Thursday evening. We had an Artisan cheese board and fried calamari as... starters. All the cheeses were amazing and the Calamari was wonderful! For my main I had the deep sea scallops and pork bellyover polenta and carrots. The scallops were perfect and the pork was super tender and delicious. For desert I had the chocolatetorte and it was rich and delightful. Service was fantastic and our only complaint was that we chose to sit on the patio and wehad a few bees that would not leave us to enjoy our food. We ended up relocating inside to enjoy coffee and desert. Our serverwas super accommodating and we will definitely go back when we get an opportunity to do so! Read more

A true hidden gem. Everything here is fabulous. By far the best restaurant burger I've ever had, from San Francisco, Beverly... Hills to San Diego. Avila Beach is where you will find it.
