Menu for Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream in San Marcos, CA

Update 9/27 was having great experiences lately with ordering online and picking up until tonight. I placed order and went to... pick it up, I go to the pick up window on the side and the employees just looked at me and straight up ignored me. I wouldunderstand if they had a crazy line like normal but it was completely dead. Very rude employee tonight. The ice cream is verygood but the serving size is very inconsistent with the Chocolate flavor I ordered the same size for 6 ice creams I would acceptthem to be filled the same. This is the second time that the chocolate has been like this, 1st time I thought it was smallerbecause they were busy but tonight I was only person in line. Read more

What a great way to spend a Friday! It's always a good time for ice cream in my mind but Handel's holds an extra special place... in my heart. It no wonder Handel's has been creating yummy ice cream for as long as they have been. Their flavors are the bestand each created with unique, fresh flavors. I got the banana cream pie, coconut cream pie, coffee chocolate chip, and orangedream and each was equally as delicious. I have to say if I had to pick a favorite out of this sampler bunch it would be thecoconut cream pie, loaded with fresh coconut and the banana cream pie,, loaded with fresh banana's. So many great flavors, can'twait till the holidays roll back around for Handel's Egg Nog and peppermint stick ice creams. The San Marcos location is in agreat spot, lots of local shopping and dining around. Grab a bit to eat and some desert or make the sampler your meal (ice creamis my favorite food group). First off, the ice cream was absolutely delicious! The large variety made it nearly impossible to choose, but everything we... tried was amazing. Peanut butter ice cream with buckeyes in it, so amazing! Second, the portions are HUGE! One waffle bowlwould have been enough for about 3 people. One other customer wrote the perfect review title: "Great tasting ice cream meets poor service!" Went there just now around... 11am, right when they opened so I could keep my time schedule. There were 3 young employees there. I stood at order window,waiting. I asked for someone to help me. She came to the window, answered my question and walked back to filling quarts with anemployee. Once she finally took my order, she went back to filling quarts with the other employee. I asked her to please get myorder, and she said they're filling 6 pints, I'll have to wait until they're done. I went and sat in my car. Took the picture ofthe place. I waited so long, I went back up to the window. My order was sitting there. They never let me know my order wasready. Rediculous service.
