I hesitated in trying this place for a while since I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. Well, with a celebration dinner here,... I finally got to try it. Note that I did not pay for this dinner so I can’t comment on the prices or its value aspect. Iarrived early so I checked out the cocktail menu. They had several interesting drinks that I wanted to try, but being a whiskeyguy, I had to order the Cabin Fever. It had both Japanese whiskey and Bourbon. Hard to say no to that :P I remember the bourbonstood out a bit more since Japanese whiskey’s usually smooth. A friend and I were keen on trying their sake. Our server (darn,I didn’t get her name) was very knowledgeable in sake and she described each one. My friend and I ended up splitting all 3sakes. The Happy Owl tasted generic and it was smooth so almost anyone would like it. The Olive was very light, but crisp. Ourserver was right that if you liked white wine, you’d probably like this sake. It was so refreshing that I would sip on itfirst even before consuming the appetizers. The Mushroom Bouquet was our favorite as it packed the most flavor and had acomplexity that the other 2 sakes could not compete. This was buffet style so we had to get our own food. The appetizers weregood, but especially the cauliflower, I thought it was some sort of meat initially. The chicken karaage did not taste as dry asit looked so that was a plus. There was a lot of sushi rolls that we had. I did enjoy them, but I didn’t pay much attention.Since I didn’t order, I am not quite sure about their names. But I didn’t care at that time either as the alcohol had kickedin. I also ordered an Almanac Love Hazy IPA. Our server said she doesn’t like IPA, but she’d drink this one. It sure washazy and very easy to drink. This was my palate cleanser at the end of the meal. I would like to come back and focus more onthe meal and food items next time =P Read more

First time here, and was quite surprised to find out most of the menu is gluten free. They only use tamari (which is naturally... gf) in their dishes and it's what is on the table. Ordered chicken karaage, veg tempura, and king salmon nigiri. All weredelicious, and did not make me sick (yay for celiacs!) Other friends ordered some rolls, and the portions seemed good to us. Ithink if you're used to american portions you would want to order more. Prices are decent maybe a lil pricy, but the glutenfree is worth it! Would definitely come back. Also the staff was amazing! Esp since we walked in 20min before closing (hahaplease forgive us bamboo sushi) Thank you so much for accommodating us and explaining the menu items! And thank you to thecooks! Read more

This is my fifth time here and time after time I've been thoroughly impressed. The quality of the fish is superb, the service is... lightning fast, and it's just been a consistently awesome place for lunch/dinner/etc! Will continue to keep coming back. I loveall of their rolls I'd especially recommend the unicorn Andy the chasing the dragon. The king salmon nigiri is especiallyphenomenal! The first time I had it my mind was blown! 20/10 sushi spot!
