The ambiance was great, with high ceilings and glass walls. However that didn't justify the marked up prices of the food. The... highlight of the meal was the daicon cake and the duck. One of the best duck we've had, super tender and juicy. The daicon cakewas moist and full of umami. The rest of the dishes were mediocre. The ribeye was average and slightly in the dry side. Theshaken beef was good, but did not wow us away with the price point. The worst dish of the day was the glass noodles... Ratherbland and overcooked. The biggest downfall is the speed of service. Our server was nice but unfortunately very slow. We werewaiting around in between the food and the check for almost 30 minutes. The 20 percent auto addition of gratuity was not apleasant surprise either. In general, I really wanted to like the place since I have been wanting to try the place since theyopened. But for the price of almost $300 for 4 people, there are better options at city center. Read more

This place has the best food and drinks. They are a little high in the price point but offer great service and ambiance.

An amazing restaurant which has successfully evolved Vietnamese cuisine to its next level and brought exquisite, unique, and... delectable dishes to the masses. This location of the restaurant is in the Bishop Ranch mixed use development in San Ramon. Wevisited for the dinner service. The restaurant offers an impressive drinks menu for both imbibers and teetotalers. Theappetizers offer light fare to tantalize your taste buds with dishes like green papaya salad, spring rolls, and yellow tailsashimi. The main course has filling and scrumptious fare including shaking beef, clay pot chicken, halibut, and whole fishamong others. The sophisticated use of Asian flavors while ensuring they are not overpowering the quality of ingredients is thetrue test of a quality restaurant and it seems Slanted door has mastered it. Highly recommended and I will be back again. Read more

A modern and well done restaurant with clearly professional chef and staff. I would say I was not amazed by the food but they... were definitely interesting and high quality. Read more

We had a Thursday dinner at this popular location. Started with beer, crispy veg spring rolls which were good. We had the Black... cod which was also great. I had the chicken clay pot which was a little too sweet for my taste. We had brussel sprouts as a sidewhich I feel, was over fried. The service was superb and very courteous folks. The food was okay. Found the dishes sweet and alittle unbalanced. Four stars for the great service. 3 stars for the food. Read more
