Arrival process with a reservation was less than pleasant. The hostess stand is in an odd location, which makes for awkward... shuffling around. Most staff seemed untrained, making things feel uneasy. Pasta dishes were good, cocktails could be morebalanced, and the manager should step up training and general professionalism. Read more
The quality of ingredients reflect the chef’s intention of celebrating California’s bounty. The beautiful, sunny patio is... just an added plus to what is a wonderful menu. The focaccia solid, the contorni of market-fresh seasonal veggies creative andyummy. The charcoal avocado had a satisfying savoriness and creaminess beautifully complimented by fresh citrus, ponzu andbitter greens. Finishing off the meal with the guinzaglio pasta — pure comfort in every bouncy chew. A well thought out wineselection, with a number of local vineyards represented. Food looks fancy and tastes good at the same time, and dishes were ready fairly quickly for an Italian restaurant. Location is... great right next to the ocean, with amazing view if you sit outdoors. Interior design is good too. Only issue was the servicewhich varied across staff.
