Great place to grab a couple of tacos while having a beer at the Garden/Shalhoob. I think the Tijuana taco may be the best... tasting octopus and shrimp combination in town. The mole taco is also pretty freaking good. Read more

It was the worst experience I have ever encountered for Latin food in a restaurant. It was extremely bland, extremely expensive... for what they serve you, the taquitos were soggy, the tortilla soup had zero spices or salt of any kind. The pork tacos were notonly nine dollars each, we were not able to eat them they tasted so bad. I am a true 100% Latin Female born in Mexico. I havehad many different types of Latin foods in America, and love most of them. I paid $100 for food I thought was going to betasteful and worth the money. Never again. Where do people give it so many high reviews Read more

Can?t believe we?re found a gem of a taco place in a food hall in Santa Barbara. The Al pastor and fish tacos were outstanding.... Now I understand why the place was Michelin recommended. I?d definitely recommend the tacos at this place to everyone Read more

I'm from Mexico City and this is one of my favorite places in SB because of the food's flavor, variety, and nice presentation.... In fact my friends brought me here to convince me to move to SB and they were successful! The food is definitely authentic andhere I can find dishes that are hard to find in the US. Don't forget to come on Fridays to try their amazing cochinita pibiltacos! The meat is so soft and flavorful that it takes me back to my childhood memories. Tacos al pastor or gringas (quesadillaswith pastor) are also really good and taste like in Mexico City. I also love to get any tacos with shrimp or other sea food.Their ceviche with mango is delicious but you might want to share that with someone plus try some tacos. Another plus is thelocation. The public market is beautiful and cool. If you are nervous about covid, they have plenty of outdoor sitting where youcan enjoy the nice SB weather and streets. So I like bringing friends and family when they are visiting. Just FYI, these tacosand food are considered fancy Mexican food and I agree. So the prices are high. You'll end up spending at least around 15 usd ifyou are hungry only for food (not including drinks) but you'll have a great culinary experience. That's why I don't come here sooften. But it's definitely worth coming! Another downside is that since it?s all take out, they give you bunch of plasticutensils, plastic salsa packages and disposable boxes. So my eco-friendly heart is broken every time I come here. I wish theyhad reusable plates and cutlery for those who are eating here. It would be worth more worth paying the high prices. I?msurprised they don?t do it because my favorite (and cheaper) taqueria does it (Pipeye?s). So I really hope they start reducingtheir waste. Read more
