Owned by the Morosin Familia of Santa Barbara's Beloved Italian-Greek Deli of many years ~ Trattoria Vittoria carries on now... for many years now as well, their Italian Tradition of Great Italian Food and a well-stocked beautiful bar. You will want toarrive early and have Local Legend Barman Tony get you a beverage and be prepared for his snappy banter, a lovely longtime localguy. I?m so sad to review this poorly ???? I love this restaurant so much. It?s me and my husband?s typical date night spot when we... visit downtown SB. Last Saturday (2 nights ago) he and I had dinner there and we ordered the pasta alle vongole (spaghetti andclams) and another shellfish entree, which consisted of pasta and various fish. There was a single clam in the whole thing thatlooked like it was bad so we set it aside, albeit stupidly and continued eating because everything tasted fine. We both woke upthis morning so incredibly ill that we needed to go to urgent care. I was told by a doctor that we had food poisoning. Thedoctor let us know that food poisoning can manifest days after consuming tainted food and so we concluded that it was likely dueto our special dinner on Saturday, as we had nothing out of the ordinary the rest of the days, and most of it was prepared by meas I am a home chef. Again, I hate to review this restaurant terribly as I have had nothing but good experiences here every timeI?ve come in the past. I?m so sad that it is very likely that we?ll never frequent this restaurant again. If you do happen tocome to this restaurant, perhaps stay away from any shellfish menu items. Read more
The Bartender could NOT make a fancy Martini to save his life!! The Polish Server ( looks just like the Polish Worker in Under... the Tuscan Sun Movie, was not very experienced, the food was ok.
