Its hidden in a back area for those trying beque for the first time. They have more options now too for the all you can eat... menu. UPDATE: Still one of the best places for Korean BBQ. Compared to some of the other places, Beque is a nice quietplace. The quality of the food is on point. The side dishes are near consistent every visit. Like one or two dishes are onrotation a week or something. Overall, it's a great eatery. Read more

We ?discovered? Beque Korean Grill on a desperate search for quality all-you-can-eat buffet, and left a satisfied... customer. Beque Santa Clara is stashed in a small crevice of a larger mall. That strip is oriented perpendicular to El Camino, easy to miss even after you enter the main mall - which I did on occasion. But after this visit, my mental map of Little Koreashifted eastward. With all 9 tenants in the small yard obviously running Korean businesses - more than in the main mall, Icannot think of another place that screams ?Koreantown? louder. When we entered the packed restaurant an hour and half beforeclosing time, there were already two parties waiting. Twenty minutes was not exceedingly long, but the wait wasn?t verycomfortable because they left the door open. Once seated, wait staff will take your order in batches. (In addition toall-you-can-eat, they also offer à-la-carte ordering.) And of course, you will have the usual pickled vegetables. Do not skipthis detail: most all those little dishes taste exquisite. I always enjoy these appetizers, but rarely get excited about aparticular one - because most Korean places in the area serve reasonably good ones. But this place is extraordinary. As to themain meats, qualities vary. We found the pork shoulder (Dwaeji bulgogi) particularly tender and flavorful. Squid is alwaysgood. Shrimp is large and juicy. But avoid pork belly that is too tough. Their ribeye beef steak isn?t too thrilling, either. In the end, we found our way of ordering rounds. That gave us very full stomaches and satisfied tastebuds. This, at aprice, eh, how to describe it? There used to be an all-you-can-eat Korean buffet near Hankook Supermarket; I think it wascalled ?King?s Buffet? although I cannot be sure. (To be honest, I thought Beque was that one because they were both close toLawrence.) That one had much bigger space, so they ran pick-your-own-food style; it had better meats, lots of seafood, salads, soup, and Read more

Great experience every time I go here. This is a small business with great food. While they do not have the variety of meats and... sides compared to Gen or other big KBBQ places, they still have really exceptional choices. Their meat cuts are of great qualityas well. I never usually have to wait to get seated, even on weekends. Their grill is also fitted with a fan inside so the smokedoes not rise up and get in your face or clothes. The staff is super friendly. This place is the worst place that I have never been! Poor hygiene, tofu in different color? It?s obvious they mixed overnight... tofu and fresh tofu together. No one single glass it?s clean! Not mention you can barely call a service here. I know the placeis not anything fancy, but it should at least clean. Read more

Its funny what to see what people expect of this place. 1.) This place is AYCE, are you expecting Japanese Kobe beef? 2.) It... is frozen because the meat needs to be sliced thinly. Try cutting it with such precision when its room temperature and/or cold. You'll see the outcome. 3.) I didn't mind the service, you just have to be understanding. It felt very homey. You see themworking hard. Understand the circumstances. If you see them lolly gagging or on their phone, then that would be a reason tocomplain. You are at an AYCE place so you need to be more patient. Last, due to its lower ratings, I'd have to give them 5stars because I enjoyed everything. I didn't expect much, but enjoyed every minute of my time here. Read more
