This cozy little place packs a tasteful punch. It's not my first time trying Burmese food but the last time I did it was eons... ago. The food here definitely brought back memories. Their menu is elaborate and you will be tempted to try all their dishesbut you mustn't miss their tea lead salad. It's crunchy, savory and filling! We also tried their mango tofu and sour leafbamboo shrimp which paired beautifully with coconut rice. Loved the food here! Read more
We ordered the Burmese vegetarian fried rice and fiery tofu. Fried rice tasted nice. The tofu was a little saltier for my taste.... It also had beans and red bell pepper which tasted really nice. Read more
We came here for Friday dinner and it was not as busy but the dishes were very nicely done. We had the coconut chicken noodle... soup, tea leaf salad and daal Goat stew. All dishes were good but the Daal goat stew was the most authentic dish and deliciousmutton preparation I had in Bay Area in an East Indian style. Service was good. Will definitely a place to repeat. First time having Burmese food. Was planning to hit the pho house in the same plaza but Burma Bistro looked... enticing. TLDR First time here, food is legit, look at pictures from your favorite 'find me food' app for pictures to get abetter idea of what you may be interested in. Not too busy on a Friday night, we were seated fairly quickly and staff werefriendly and patient with us as they tended to the multiple delivery drivers coming to pick up orders Yellow Tofu / Yellow PeaFritters The physical menu lists it as yellow Tofu but the online ordering menu lists it as yellow pea. Regardless, this was anice starter, the home made chili sauce pairs very nicely with the crispy but light yellow rectangles. The inside strikes me asmore of yellow pea than a tofu so some clarification is necessary but not that important. These were good, I would recommendthem, and would order them again. Chicken Dan Bawk (boneless) This dish was quite nice! Aromatic rice accented with yellowraisins, cashews, a perhaps fried shallots I think. Chicken was thigh meat and was cooked perfectly. Veggie Curry Assortedveggies and lentils in a light and thin curry sauce. Would have liked a sprinkle of some kosher salt to bring out the curry alittle more but overall it provided nicely cooked veggies to a protein and starch rich meal. Ginger lemonade I never would haveimagined a hint of ginger would elevate a simple glass of lemonade to another level. This works and it works amazingly well. Theginger provided a nice spicy refreshing after taste from the usual lemonade everyone is used to. Could have used a touch moresweetness in my opinion but the ginger was perfect. Read more
