Only able to eat at this place a couple time a year. Can't say it's the best for it's type of cuisine, there are better places... in town for the same sorta food. Honestly, would probably have a higher opinion of the place if they didn't keep such sillyhours that means I keep getting there 15 minutes from close and denied service. Because how dare I work overnights and try mybest to do things at standard business hours in America, right? Read more
I?ve been to Island Grinds hundreds of times. Every time I get the pupu chicken and I?m ALWAYS impressed. Tafoula that runs the... front is always so nice and even when I call in, she knows my order. She is on top of it! The food is made to order, which meansthe chicken is always crispy and hot. Island Grinds is my favorite place to go in town. They also give you more food than otherisland restaurants and for a cheaper price. It?s a family owned restaurant, which makes it even better! I highly recommendtrying Island Grinds. Read more

Great place to get Hawaiian bbq if you?re in the area! My bf got the chicken pupu, and he loved it. I tried a piece and wish I... had gotten it too! Their chicken katsu was the best I?ve ever had! The macaroni is overly peppery, in my opinion. But my bf wholoves things to be heavily seasoned really liked it. Beef teriyaki was good but not amazing. It was easy to order. We gave theemployee a name and phone number, and they texted when it was ready. The person taking orders had a mask on, but none of thekitchen staff did, but they had the back door open for ventilation. We would eat here again next time we are in the area.
