I am thankful I found this hidden gem and never knew Santa Cruz had such a traditional tea place to authentically experience a... tea ceremony but a Kung Fu service. It is rare to find a place like this and especially in the modern world taking a pause to bemore present where technology is not allowed or having a clock to always run our day with schedule. This place really forced youto have an actual conversation with someone and be present without technology. Sometimes we forget how things used to be beforeit became a tech world.. the owner I was the one who gave the tea ceremony and I love the mom/pop feel where the owner actuallybuild relationships with their customers and the passion he carries. This place is super cool. I popped in here with a friend and while I'm not a tea guy, I had the most amazing tea in my life... here. I had the waitress pick for me. I couldn't tell you what I had. She was super knowledgeable of the tea and sat down andtold us all about it. I would be very mindful of the costs associated with sitting down. I popped in to kill 15 minutes anddidn't realize there was an extra $16 fee to sit in the dining room. I honestly felt totally gross paying $27 to sit and have acup of tea without being told about the fees, but I did reach out to them. Jordon got back to me. He told me it was a mistakethat I wasn't made aware of the fees and I believe that. There are other options such as sitting on the patio for an additional$4, I believe. Great staff, insane tea and very chill, no phone environment. I am a fan. Read more
