Our 3rd dinner at this local gem in the past 6 weeks. Utterly charming restaurant in a former Post Office, and our new favorite... restaurant in Santa Cruz. Delicious food, presented well, by attentive servers, in great ambiance. We went with the specialsthis time, and were not disappointed. We each had the halibut tartar with Piet de Sap melon, radish and shiso, which was bothbeautiful and delicious, with 4 contrasting flavors, colors, and consistency. Then we both had the entre (or secondi) special,the Papparadelle with braised lamb, pole beans, lovage and pecorino, which was fantastic - meaty, smoky, unami deliciousness,especially paired with the Pinot Nero, and some of La Posta's fantastic bread. We finished up with a shared affogato. Anexquisite meal, served by a delightful waiter. This is definitely our favorite go-to restaurant in Santa Cruz! At there againlast night, taking my daughter Megan and her partner Brad, along with my wife Tess. As always, we loved it! This restaurant isa true gem, and follows what Alice Waters started 50 years ago at Chez Pannise - the menu changes because the chef shops atorganic markets and farms every morning, and the menu is based on what is fresh and seasonal. We started with a delicious farosalad with roast broccoli, olive, feta, red onion & tahini dressing & the special salad with arrugula, crispy pancetta, pears &blue cheese, as well as the special pizza with thin-sliced home cured salami, mozzarella & marinara-perfect crust! Along withone order of their Rosemary Walnut & Sourdough bread.
