This restaurant has a special place in my heart. It's the first place where I dined outdoors in Sarasota before moving here, and... the scene was perfect. The sun was shining but umbrellas were up to protect the customers, the food was delicious, service wason point, and I really enjoyed the tropical vibe - from the colors of the dishes and tabletops, to the ingredients in thedishes, to the carved souvenir coconuts that hold your drink. It's a place I try to take my out of town guests to experience. Read more
Honestly never have a poor experience here. The house Calypso appetizer wings are excellent . We LOVE the coconut shrimp & it... pairs perfectly with their spicy coconut mustard sauce. Drinks are great and service even better . Consistency brings us backeach time! Read more
While on vacation, my husband and I decided to drive to Sarasota for the day and go to Lido Key. Enroute we passed by Cha Cha... Coconuts and we thought that after the beach we would go here for lunch. Im so glad we chose this restaurant. Restaurant islocated on the circle, in the heart of the shopping/restaurant area. Staff was very helpful, attentive and upbeat. Therestaurant is a mix of indoor/outdoor seating, you seat yourself and although we had our bathing suits on under our beach coverups, it was perfectly acceptable. My husband ordered the Cuban Mixed Sandwich which came with fries, he said Cha Cha?s Cubanranks at the top of his list of great Cuban sandwiches. I ordered the Cha Cha Cheesy Quesadilla with onions and green peppers,the chicken was tender, and the veggies were cooked perfectly. For the 13yrs I?ve lived here, I?ve never come here and I don?t know why! Decided to bring my dog on a lunch date and I was more... than pleased! Everyone was so nice and a few staff asked to meet my dog. They brought her a milkbone and a bowl of water! ?? Iordered the lido beach lemonade and coconut shrimp- both are things I?ll be back for! It was amazing! The food did come out veryquick and almost too quick because I had not gotten my drinks. I will say the only downside was the waitress was not aswarm/welcoming as the rest of the staff I encountered. She didn?t introduce herself and didn?t seem too excited to be there. Andrei was very personable, connected well with us and was very responsive. Food was great, all 3 of us enjoyed our entrees. ... Key Lime Pie was great and the Pineapple Mule did not disappoint either. On top of that, the live music was a highlight ratherthan a hindrance we see at many other places.
