Great local dining experience! This was the first time my wife and I ate here, and we'll definitely go back! I went thinking I... would get a burger, but after seeing the amazing line-up of chicken sandwiches, I settled on the Hawaiian Chicken. It wasamazing! Very moist, bun was perfect, and I ate the whole thing! My wife said the Fish-n-Chips was the best she's ever had. We finished off the meal with the bread pudding - a little more dense than some, but still very, very delicious! The wait staffwas chill, laid back, and made us feel at home. Quaint, unsuspecting old-style pub with great selection of beer and above-and-beyond bar food! Their house-made onion rings are... incredibly well done with a thick, but not overwhelming, coat of batter and onion that doesn't slide out when you take a bite.The crispness of this appetizer was absolutely indicative of its freshness, and it arrived perfectly hot. For my entrée I hadthe Portobello Sandwich, which I found to be a bit overwhelmingly marinated with balsamic, but appreciated how well the mushroomwas cooked and how it balanced with the pepper jack cheese. It came with a delightfully thick slice of tomato and a perfectratio of onion. The side of fries (or chips, if you like) was crispy and light, and did not get soggy or lose its crispnessthroughout the meal. Food was great service was terrible. I like the beer selection and food service don't reflect the 3 star. Food was 5 for sure... for pub grub. Not five-star dining food but fantastic pub grub. I am really disappointed wanted I to be great. Only 1 server andit was also the only bartender. I understand staffing but they were not busy at all. Service was not a staffing issue it was butmainly due to Bad server. I'll try 1 more time maybe an off day. Read more

Two days after hurricane Ian, we are at a packed Shakespeare's. It has a truly pub-like feel and a wide variety of beers, both... on tap and in bottles-- wine too for those who prefer. Despite the busyness, the staff were on top of things, pleasant,efficient and helpful. We ate lovely salads with a substantial portion of blackened Mahi. Pretty and delicious. We ordered aside is fries ( aka chips). This was not our first visit. In the past we've enjoyed burgers, fish and chips-- best in town myhusband thinks-- and more. There is outdoor seating as well as inside. Great place!! Read more
