I had been coming here about twice a month last year because they have great food and drinks. Coming back today, they had done... some updates to the place including parking, menu and seating. Looks nice, I usually went for their calamari and their crownmaple salad. After looking at their updated menu they had taken off the salad I like and also took away the small and largeoptions to their menu. Everything is one size now, which wasn?t a deal breaker for me but still wasn?t happy. I was viewingtheir prices which have seemed to increase so I did a menu average while I was sitting there and the average price you?ll payfor a single item is roughly $17 including appetizers. I know with upgrades comes cost and I don?t mind paying a bit more forthe same great food they?ve served previously. But when we ordered our calamari it was much different from what we were used to.We had picked out a couple salads we were going to try that sounded okay but after seeing how the calamari was we decided not tospend anything more and chance the salads would be just as bad considering they?re $16 a piece. This was not the same productthey were serving before, this looked and tasted like some cheap low quality calamari at a higher price. It?s one thing tocharge more for the same product but it?s another thing to charge more for a lesser quality product. The only two things we weresatisfied with was the service and the blue cheese that they decided not to skimp out on. We?ve been coming here for years andwould make the drive 30 mins away just because of how good the food was. But after today, I will never come back here. Moved to Saratoga from Queens and generally find folks to be very nice in town. However, to give you a sense of the crowd at... this bar, the female bartender here who prefers the company of her own because she ?gave up on men a long time ago?, felt quitecomfortable throwing around the term ?Jewish lightning?. When I told her that as a Jew I don?t love that expression, the guynext to me (her friend) said ?you can?t say anything these days? and she defensively said ?it?s a pretty common expression?. Youwould think a woman who is a persecuted minority herself wouldn?t feel that way about hate speech. The food is also terrible.Over cooked wings, mediocre fries, bad beer list. Will never go back. There is a difference between cancel culture (say what youwant on Twitter and among friends not my business) and casually spewing stereotypes at your job. We sat outside because it was nice out. There were bees everywhere. People were moving from one table to another trying to get... away from them. Staff was not concerned, just said yeah they're everywhere out here. Ordered a burger medium. After waitingawhile for food to come out the burger came out so greasy that my bottom bun was totally soaked and the burger was completely raw in the middle. Then we waited at least 25 minutes for a waitress to come back. During that time we observed the awning overour heads was leaking water in several areas. And the table we were sitting at was dirty and sticky. Our waitress was niceenough and they took the burger of the check but overall a very unpleasant experience. Will not be back Read more
