Tried this place for the first time tonight ( also the last time). Sat down and was asked if we wanted drinks which we ordered... and thought things were going well....... then came the food ordering. I ordered the fish and chip special which was mediocre atbest ( more batter than fish and frozen fries) and asked for a cesar salad to start, wife ordered a cheeseburger and fries,pretty simple right?!?!WRONG..... my fish and chips comes out no problem. Wife's burger comes out with just relish ( she askedfor everything but tomato and relish). We send it back and wait a bit..... outcome her meal again...... hamburger no cheese buttoppings are correct, at this point she decides nevermind I'll just eating anyway. At the end they bring the bill it has acheeseburger listed(which I was not going to argue about and just pay) but my salad that seem to get lost in purgatory was thereas well. Needless to say I had him correct it and paid. If you like watching absolute s%&t shows and disorganization this isthe place for you!!!!! We had a wonderful server named Gosha. She was extremely personable, very funny and excellent at her job.. We hope that when... we go back we have her as our server again. The food was delicious and it was nice to see that the old Wharf décor had notbeen changed. Read more
It gives me great pleasure to tell you my experience with Halibut House Fish & Chips. After sending my plate back with the... waiter to make corrections. The owner, Mr. John himself came to my table and made sure everything was to my liking. Mr. Johncares about his customers and his food presentation, and so does his staff.
