Great beer and friendly staff. We had fun and they've got a great bike rack out front to lock up to.

During COVID, they both took a pay cut, boosted staff pay up $2 an hour in recognition of the hardships we were aboutto face, and then found ways to operate with heavy restrictions. I went from casual to nearly full time, started a COVID safetycommittee and the owners used my PhD background to get me into their operations team, leveraged my work during COVID forprovincial recognition and then made sure that they elevated me as the person responsible for that success, and now aresupporting me staking out on my own. Anytime the company has had to downsize, they often do so by finding the next-step fortheir best people and finding them attractive, career starting positions in fields that they?d completed schooling in, or newthings they?re interested in pursuing. It?s not hard to lift staff up, to create and then keep good people. It takes acommitment to your employees, perhaps some empathy, but a whole lot of gratitude and that seems like a hard thing for mostcompanies to have for their staff. Edit: name of the brewery is 9 Mile Legacy Brewing, Saskatoon! They?ve got a flagshipnano-taproom if you?re ever in town, but they?re really working hard to get their distribution wider reaching. This place is fantastic. Small town pub feel combined with high quality craft beer makes them an easy favourite! The staff are... so much fun, enthusiastic about people, and knowledgeable about beer. It's easy to learn about and appreciate all the differentvarieties of beer they produce, haven't met one of theirs that I haven't liked. Even their snacks are on point.
